Homeless Thumbelina

Part of a homework assignment in art college. Students were tasked with creating a conceptual self-portrait that in some way involved a dollar bill, key, playing card, and thumbtacks. I chose to create a modern reimagining of the fairytale Thumbelina, specifically the part where she is far from home. Colored Pencil on Toned Paper May 2009
