Laura Guzzo is an award-winning artist whose work has been featured in numerous publications, including The Philadelphia Daily News. She is passionate about visual storytelling and has designed for both publishing and retail markets.
Laura earned her BFA in Illustration at Moore College of Art and worked as a freelancer after graduating, largely in the comic book industry; Resulting in an extensive background with trade shows and conventions. She understands the importance of creating a cohesive visual identity, especially when working with licensed brands. When Laura worked for Whole Foods Market, she was responsible for maintaining their brand standards and balancing the daily needs of +10 departments. Most recently Laura was employed at WeVeel Toys & Stationary, where she designed creative tools for kids that were sold in Walmart, Michaels, Dollar General, and Kmart. She learned how to use Blender to create realistic 3D renders for client approval and built prototypes to verify accuracy before products went into production, saving the company money on recalls. She illustrated diagrams and wrote copy for instruction manuals, and incorporated custom illustrations and trend research into product development. Even after her position became fully remote in 2020, Laura frequently collaborated with coworkers (both local and overseas) and managed project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
